Dina DiGregorio

“There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats.” - Albert Schweitzer

Dina DiGregorio, one of our longest-working team members, is a native of Watertown, NY and holds an Associates of Science Degree from SUNY Jefferson. Over the years, Dina has taken on many different roles at The Animal Doctors, making her a versatile and integral part of our clinic team.  Currently, Dina doubles as a veterinary assistant and office manager and is in charge of ordering and paying for supplies, keeping track of inventory, and billing, just to name a few!

With a naturally quiet demeanor, Dina is the “purrfect” person to find when a nervous cat needs to be held for an exam.  She absolutely loves cats and has said on more than one occasion that she “would love to work with all cats all the time.”  No offense to the dogs out there!  She is very much in tune with cats’ behaviors and has a way of calming them like no one else can!  She is a huge advocate for low-stress handling and is a master at toweling cats in a “kitty burrito” to make them feel more secure.  Dina also deeply cares about making sure that clients feel heard and that they have an exceptional experience regardless of the circumstances surrounding their visit.

When she is not interacting with cats at the clinic, Dina can be found snuggled up at home with one of her own cats - Stinkerbell, Buttercup, Trinity, or Crinkles. She also takes care of a very agile stray cat - Fiddler - who has claimed Dina’s yard and garage as her domain. Luckily, Dina was able to livetrap Fiddler and have her vaccinated and spayed after she had had a litter of kittens in Dina’s garage! Dina also enjoys reading, gardening, kayaking, and simply being surrounded by nature.

If you could leave one piece of information for every pet parent, what would it be?

Sharing your life with one or more animals is a HUGE commitment. Caring for them properly requires that you are able to give three things: time, money, love.
